ENG: There were no Mini regattas sailed in 2024, but that doesn’t mean the Ashika Sailing Team was on vacation—or, as ChatGPT once mistakenly assumed, that the Ashika project was over. Far from it. We spent the year sailing more fully crewed and double-handed races.

So during our “sabbatical,” we—and by “we” we mostly mean Uroš—managed to achieve quite a bit:

• Uroš received the Sailor of the Year award from Jadralna zveza Slovenije – Slovenian Sailing Federation

• Bombed the first SE Challenge 2024

• Won the First 18 SE European Championship

• Won the Silverrudder & EUROSAF First 27 SE Singlehanded European Championship

• Won the Serbian First 18 SE National Championship Cup

• Won Regatta Jabuka on the First 27 SE

• Won the ORC Doublehanded Slovenian National Championship

• And, at the start of 2025, finished 4th in the ever-mysterious First SE Challenge

Now, it’s time to turn our focus back to the Mini.
